How has your 2020 been? For most of us, this year has brought along a lot of challenges. For some, those challenges have been crippling. The Salvation Army expects that up to 155% more people will needs services this year due to the pandemic’s impact. This means that The Salvation Army needs donations now more than ever to assure its programs are funded well enough to support Prior Lake MN families for the holidays. Ironclad Storage is accepting donations for The Salvation Army at our office on Adelmann Street in Prior Lake MN.
Prior Lake MN Families Need Your Help During the Holidays
When times get tough, community only grows stronger. The Salvation Army in Minnesota is joining with Hubbard Broadcasting in the Twin Cities in order to “Stuff the Sleigh” and gather toys for children who may otherwise not get a present to open on Christmas. They are also expecting to hand out 1,500 Christmas meals and 500 Thanksgiving food boxes. In addition to presents and meals, The Salvation Army helps families handle bills and other expenses. With unemployment rates high, a lot of people have need assistance meeting rent and mortgage payments.The Salvation Army relies on its red kettle donations to fund many of its holiday programs. But since the pandemic has forced safety precautions, much of these funds will not return this year. It is up to us to help our neighbors get the help they deserve.
